How to distinguish the true and false of flame retardant PP plate

Flame retardant PP sheet is a plastic sheet made from PP resin, through extrusion, calendering, cooling, cutting and other processes to add a variety of functional additives. Flame retardant PP plate is a kind of semi-crystalline material. It is harder than PE and has a higher melting point. Because homopolymer PP is very brittle at temperatures above 0℃, many commercial PP materials are random copolymers with 1-4% ethylene content or block copolymers with higher ethylene content. Copolymer PP materials have lower thermal deformation temperature (100°C), lower transparency, lower gloss and lower stiffness, but have stronger impact strength. So, how to identify the quality of flame retardant PP plate?

As the saying goes, good is good. Flame retardant PP plate is the same, the quality is also very good, so how to identify the quality of PP board? Today, I'm going to give you some hints.

1. Check its surface gloss. The poor lustre is recycled plastic.

2. Observe its toughness. Pure raw material flame retardant PP plate has excellent toughness, and can be slightly bent.

3. View the cutting surface. After cutting recycled plastic, various colors of debris appear.

4. Check its density. The density of PP is 0.92 ~ 0.93. Everything floating on the water is polypropylene.

5. Flame retardant PP plate heating and welding. Recycled plastic will smoke when you weld it.

6. Transmittance, poor transmittance of recycled plastics.

7. Toughness, recycled plastics are also much worse.

8. Flame retardant PP board density, throw it into the water to see if it floats on the water, most of the recycled water sinks to the bottom.
